Climate change is prompting a new perspective on the development of the transport system. Supporting the development of inland waterway transport is an important tool used in the process of achieving climate policy goals defined at the international level.
The main goal of this monograph is to examine the capacity of inland waterway transport to provide reliable transport services under the conditions of observed climate change and to identify directions for action to improve its resilience to extreme changes in hydrological conditions. The variable illustrating the level of reliability of transport services was the transport stability index, which reflects the level of uniformity of transport performance in individual sub-periods of the annual cycle.
