The Editorial Board of the Publishing House for the 2020–2024 term was established pursuant to Zarządzenia No. 81/R/24 of the Rector of the University of Gdańsk of 2 September 2024 on the establishment of the Editorial Board of the Publishing House of the University of Gdańsk for the 2024–2028 term. The competences and principles of appointing the Publishing House Editorial Board are regulated by § 4 of the Regulations of the University of Gdańsk Publishing House, according to which:
- The Editorial Board, composed of at least 3 people, is appointed by the Rector from among academic teachers employed at the University of Gdańsk with outstanding publication achievements.
- The work of the College is directed by the Director.
- The College’s task is to:
- ensuring the achievement of high publishing standards and ensuring the efficient implementation of the Publishing House’s strategy;
- substantive evaluation of publications submitted to the Publishing House;
- conducting the process of qualifying a work for publication;
- making decisions on co-financing the publication of academic textbooks and monographs constituting habilitation dissertations.
