Professor of chemical sciences, rector of the University of Gdańsk since 2020, vice-rector for science at the University of Gdańsk in 2016–2020, head of the Department of Environmental Analysis. It studies the mechanisms of spread and chemical transformation of environmental pollutants and methods of their analysis, and also deals with the toxicological assessment of the effects of their occurrence.
