Historian, habilitated doctor of humanities in the field of history, professor at the Department of Contemporary Polish History at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Gdańsk. Researcher of the history of Poland in the 19th and 20th centuries, national relations in the lands of the former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Polish-Ukrainian relations and relations between the Catholic Churches of the Latin and Greek rites. Author of numerous publications on history and biographies in the „Polish Biographical Dictionary”.
