Documentary filmmaker of Polish manors and the history of the landed gentry; owner of a collection of iconographies of Polish manors; author of the following books: Jam Polish manor (1993, 1997), Faces of the Polish court (co-author S. Markowski, 2004), Manor house — Polish identity (2014, 2018), Village manors and palaces recommended by the Polish Landowners’ Society (2015, 2016), Landowners’ bibliography (2018), as well as over 100 articles and lectures on the Polish landed gentry. He has prepared 20 photography exhibitions in Poland, Brussels (2004) and Jaszuny in Lithuania (2016), and participated in an exhibition in London (2018). He is vice-president of the Main Board of the Polish Landowners’ Society and the Board of the Gdańsk Branch of the Association of Art Historians. Awarded with the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta (2014) for services to national heritage. For 45 years he was associated with the Institute of Foreign Trade at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk as a teaching staff member; currently retired.
