Krzysztof Maciej Kowalski

Prof. Dr. hab., head of the Department of Historical Methodology, History of Historiography and Archival Studies at the Institute of History of the University of Gdańsk. His main interests are: the theory and methodology of history, the history of historiography, medieval and modern epigraphy, historical iconology, bibliology, the history of material culture and its subdisciplines, and historical campanology. He has presented 70 papers at international and national scientific conferences. He has published 17 books. The latest titles include: In arte sua quilibet rex. Studies on the history of culture in Pomerania (Gdańsk, 2014) and Musica Campanarum. From the history of research on ancient bells (Gdańsk, 2022).
