Habilitated doctor of humanities in the field of literary studies, professor at the Institute of Scandinavian and Fennistic Studies at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Gdańsk. He conducts research on Nordic literature for children and young people, with particular emphasis on bibliotherapeutic aspects, iconotext and translation. In recent years he has been exploring Moominvalley.
