Dr. Agnieszka Szmelter-Jarosz, assistant professor in the Department of Logistics at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk, specializes in urban and suburban logistics, shared mobility, and micromobility, as well as their impact on the daily lives of users in these areas. Her monograph, “The Sharing Economy and Micromobility in Urban and Suburban Logistics in Poland,” is the result of several years of research conducted as part of the NCN Sonata 16 and Miniatura 3 projects. She analyzes the impact of shared mobility on the flow of people and goods in Polish cities and suburban areas, combining a behavioral economics perspective with a mixed-methods approach. This publication, in which Agnieszka Szmelter-Jarosz organizes concepts, presents empirical research findings, and identifies possible directions for change in urban logistics in Poland, is both exploratory and applied. This is a book about change: about new models of movement, about the flow of people and things, but also about how to design more accurately and better understand everyday urban life.
