Paweł M. Owsianny

Doctor of Biological Sciences, specialist in the protection and shaping of the natural environment, biodiversity and functioning of freshwater and saltwater ecosystems, algal taxonomy and ecology. Among other things, he described species and varieties of dinoflagellates new to science (Dinophyceae) from the Tatra Mountains. Passionate about outdoor education, leader of scientific and research expeditions (including to Spitsbergen and Ukraine). Director of the Noteć Institute of Adam Mickiewicz University in Piła, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
