Mirosław Ossowski

Literary scholar, professor of humanities, employee of the Department of German Literature and Culture at the Institute of German Philology at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Gdańsk. Author of books on German prose (including. . Literature of Returns – Literature Return: East Prussia in German Prose after 1945, Gdańsk 2011 and My East Prussia: A Book Full of Prejudice, Dąbrówno 2022), co-editor of two books: Günter Grass: literature – art – politics…, ed. M. Brandt, M. Jaroszewski, M. Ossowski, Gdańsk 2009; Charismatic figures in English- and German-language literature, ed. G. Moroz, M. Ossowski, Olecko-Warsaw 2009; author of numerous scientific articles. His research interests focus on German literature of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, as well as issues of collective memory and literary and social images of the past.
