Every area of life requires clear, transparent rules of law. However, nowhere is this more difficult and urgent than in the area being subject to profound technological and economic changes, and so widely affecting society to environmental insurance risks. This attempt at a comprehensive presentation of the basic concepts, principles and institutions of insurance law in relation to environmental damage takes both public and private law issues into account. Starting from the role of states in the development of environmental insurance through the legal framework of the environmental insurance, issues of insurability of administrative liability for environmental damage up to the liability of private entities using the environment or forms of insurance as a security measure for claims in waste management.<\/p>\n
