The Publishing Council operates under the Regulations of the University of Gda\u0144sk Publishing House.<\/strong><\/p><p>The competences and principles of appointing the Publishing Council are regulated by \u00a7 3 of the Regulations of the University of Gda\u0144sk Publishing House, according to which:<\/p><ol><li>The competences of the Publishing Council include:<ul><li>providing opinions on annual publishing plans;<\/li><li>providing opinions on the Director&#8217;s reports on the Publishing House&#8217;s activities;<\/li><li>shaping publishing policy and establishing strategic directions of the Publishing House&#8217;s activities.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>The Publishing Council is appointed by the Rector for the term of office of the authorities of the University of Gda\u0144sk. The Council is composed of a representative of each faculty, designated by the dean, who holds at least a doctoral degree.<\/li><li>The Publishing Board shall elect a chairman from among its members at its first meeting.<\/li><li>The currently operating Publishing Council was established pursuant to <a href=\"https:\/\/wydawnictwo.ug.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/z-19-r-25-1.pdf\">Order No. 19\/R\/25 of the Rector of the University of Gda\u0144sk of February 7, 2025.<\/a><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f6d4e9e p-5 py-8 shadow-lg elementor-invisible elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f6d4e9e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;_animation&quot;:&quot;fadeIn&quot;}\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>University of Gda\u0144sk Publishing Council for the 2024\u20132028 term:<\/h3><ul><li>Prof. dr\u00a0hab.
